What data is processed?

This website is purely informational and does not use cookies. To understand how the website is used, anonymous visitor statistics are collected (Vercel Web Analytics) – without cookies, and without individual visitors being identified or followed over time.

The only data collected via the website is what you provide yourself in the contact form:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • The message you write

Please do not send sensitive health information via the contact form or email. Describe briefly what your enquiry is about, and share details about health and medical history verbally – by phone or during a session.

If you become a client, data necessary for assessment and treatment is also processed, including health information recorded in your client record. See the section on client records below.

Purpose and legal basis

The information from the contact form is used solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to arrange an appointment. The legal basis is legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) and, where the enquiry concerns booking an appointment, steps taken prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).

Client data is processed in order to provide sound speech and language assessment and treatment. The legal basis is the treatment agreement (Article 6(1)(b)) and legal obligations as healthcare personnel (Article 6(1)(c) and Article 9(2)(h)), cf. the Norwegian Health Personnel Act and the Patient Records Act.

Client records and health information

As a speech and language therapist, I am healthcare personnel with a record-keeping obligation under the Norwegian Health Personnel Act. This means that relevant and necessary information about assessment and treatment is recorded in a client record, in line with the Health Personnel Act and the Patient Records Act.

Record information is subject to a duty of confidentiality and is stored securely. It is kept for as long as necessary given the purpose of the record and the requirements of the Patient Records Regulations, and is thereafter deleted or destroyed securely. You have the right to access your own record.

Retention periods

  • Enquiries via the contact form are stored until they have been answered and are no longer needed, and are deleted within 12 months at the latest. You can ask for them to be deleted earlier at any time.
  • Record information is kept for as long as the Health Personnel Act and the Patient Records Regulations require, and cannot be deleted on request for as long as the retention obligation applies.
  • Accounting records (for example invoices) are kept for five years in accordance with the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act.

Who is the data shared with?

Your personal data is never sold, and is not shared with anyone other than the data processors necessary to run the website and receive enquiries:

  • Vercel Inc. – provider of hosting and anonymous visitor statistics for the website.
  • Resend – email service that forwards submitted contact forms to kontakt@grunerlokkalogopedi.no.

Both are data processors acting on behalf of Grünerløkka Logopedi, under data processing agreements and the requirements of the GDPR, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for any transfers outside the EEA.

Record information is not shared with others without your consent, unless there is a statutory duty of disclosure.

Cookies

The website sets no cookies and uses no tracking or marketing tools. The visitor statistics (Vercel Web Analytics) are anonymised and use neither cookies nor other identifiers that follow you over time. Cookie consent is therefore not required.

Your rights

Under data protection law, you have the right to:

  • request access to the data stored about you
  • have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected
  • have data deleted (subject to the limitations that follow from record-keeping and retention obligations)
  • have the processing restricted
  • receive a copy of your data (data portability)
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest

Contact kontakt@grunerlokkalogopedi.no to exercise your rights. You will receive a reply as soon as possible, and within 30 days at the latest.

If you believe the processing of your personal data breaches the rules, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. Read more at datatilsynet.no.
